I Am You. You Are Me. We Are One – In Lak’ Ech
Mitch and his newly wed wife Sally Mustang started working on a new body of original artworks in April 2019, which is already said to be manifesting as a ‘new level’ of creation for the couple. The selection of resin artworks titled ‘I Am You. You Are Me. We Are One – In Lak’ Ech’ studies new intentions for the relationship of the duo as they solidify their union in marriage, while reflecting on all that has been their journey together so far. The Mustang’s speak regularly about sexuality, spirituality and relationships through their Instagram platforms, sharing to 500,000 followers around the world weekly, and feel that it aligns with their other current projects.
The works to be featured are portrayed as visual manifestations of what Mitch & Sal have experienced through different trials, errors and tribulations of their relationship. Each piece explores a new subject, from masculine and feminine roles, shadow work, sex, their brief break-up in 2017 and the art of seduction - just to name a few…
Focused on using a range of colours and complex compositions to represent each chapter of their lives, ‘I Am You. You Are Me. We Are One – In Lak’ Ech’ tells their story with fewer words than is usually seen online, inviting the viewers own interpretations and perceptions.
‘The art we’re currently channelling and birthing is a tribute to an incredible chapter of our lives and marks a level of self which we’re really excited to share with our viewers.’ said Gobel ‘Ultimately, I Am You. You Are Me. We Are One is an exploration and celebration of love - the dark, the light and beyond.’
Scheduled to be completed in August 2019, the artwork’s ranging in size as part of the brand-new and unseen collection of works are well underway, with the feature piece of the collection already decided on (see preview below).
