#MGRA_voiceforcreatives

CALLING ALL CREATIVES, anyone want to collaborate?

For a little while now I’ve been working on a concept to help promote other creatives – artists, photographers, fashion designers, tattooists, make up artists, graphic designers etc – if you’re doing something creative and original, because you love it! I want to know about it.

As an emerging artist I know how hard it is to get established and through my journey I’ve come across many incredible creatives - Beautiful people, with amazing stories and colorful minds, people who I believe should have a voice and people who I’d like to meet.

Many artists have come to me with amazing ideas for collaborations, but all have suggested my resin work combined with their choice of medium or work, whatever that maybe. Unless I was to collaborate with another artist on a very similar level to myself, this could potentially devalue the work that I’ve previously created, so these ideas for collaboration probably wont ever be something that I explore, however…

For months I’ve been dwelling on an idea – How can I promote the work of others, while staying true to my own image and obviously without using my resin.

The answer I’ve come up with for that question, is to be your canvas or subject, as I was lucky enough to have done here with one of my favorite artists and beautiful new friend, Eleanor Neumann (@xtedddy)… See the below featured collaborations for more info.

This ‘paint me’ type of collaboration option, obviously relates to artists who create with a brush, pen, eyeliner etc. But this project isn’t limited to those creatives.

Graphic designers like Andy Anderson (@thenightmuffin) have incorporated my digital work into his creating some incredible art and illustrators such as Elle Wills (@elle_wills) and Jenni Tomizinski (@jenniiiiit) have drawn incredibly detailed pieces of myself and many others.

By combining my work with yours online or physically, allows me to show your work to currently around 65,000 people worldwide, who love and appreciate art. I think that an audience of 65,000 people is pretty significant in anyone’s world, and it’s an audience that I’d like to share.

This is your invitation to the #MGRA_voiceforcreatives project. Expand your mind, push yourself and discover something new. I encourage you to be as creative with this as possible. For those of you studying art, I also encourage you to disregard what you think you know, because with that you will disregard your own limits. Being self taught myself, I know how powerful an open mind can be.

This idea is currently open ended, no start dates, and no finish. We all know that creativity takes time…

To submit your entries simply upload your work onto Instagram or Facebook, tag @mitchgobel_resinart and put the #MGRA_voiceforcreatives hashtag in the photo description (make sure you’re profile is not on private). Feel free to also email your entry(s) through.
